  1. that was a little hard to interpret, what i did was: copy the sound folder from a clean minecraft.jar folder without forge, and put the sound folder back in after i installed forge. i noticed that the forge sound folder is different from the regular sound folder. im still getting the error. please try describing the instructions a bit more clearly. im using a mac by the way. thank you.

    Sorry about that yeah do exactly that except dont copy the codecs insted merge them 

  2. I was having similar problems, but just found a solution. First delete your minecraft.jar file and force update, then unzip it copy it to your desktop, then paste forge into your minecraft.jar. Once this is completed go to paulscode and open it then go to the minecraft.jar and your desktop and go to paulscode with both open copy all the files from the sound folder in paulscode from the minecraft.jar on the desktop and paste them into your current sound folder. Make sure that you copy all the files from the desktop pauls code folder in to the current paulscode folder. Once completed the problem should be solved.  ;D
