  1. You are probably using Twitch launcher which is a broken piece of ***.
  2. https://www.java.com/en/download/help/winxp.html According to this, it should work. If it doesn't, tough luck.
  3. DeferredRegister usage is explained both in the documentation about registries as well as the DeferredRegister javadoc. I'll repeat it here for you: private static final DeferredRegister<Block> MINECRAFT_BLOCK_OVERRIDES = DeferredRegister.create(ForgeRegistries.BLOCKS, "minecraft"); public static final RegistryObject<Block> SAND = MINECRAFT_BLOCK_OVERRIDES.register( "sand", () -> new Block(...) )
  4. Do not put DeferredRegister and their entries in separate classes. It can lead to issues due to unloaded classes. Using the empty register method is an ugly hack and not necessary.
  5. Your Java installation is borked. Reinstall Java.
  6. 1.8 is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
  7. To point 1: Do not connect to a vanilla server with a modded client. To point 2: Nothing to do, the server you started works fine, you just didn't connect to it.
  8. Show where you interact with this code from within Minecraft.

  11. 1.11 is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
  12. 1.7 is no longer supported on this forum. Please update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.
  13. The client log shows you trying to connect to a vanilla server, which then fails because you have mods installed. The server log shows you starting a forge server just fine 1 ½ hours earlier, nobody ever connects to this server and it is stopped immediately after starting up.
  14. This is not how any of this works. But... it's your data...
  15. You are trying to connect to a vanilla server with client mods installed.
  16. Please keep this forum in English. Post the debug.log from server and client.
  17. If you make a method public that was previously protected you must access transform all classes that inherit from it as well because they potentially override the method (also protected). If you just make the base method public, the extending class now crashes with a IncompatibleClassChangeError, because you cannot override a public method with a protected one. Since you cannot possibly know all extending classes (you'd have to know all the mods out there), this cannot be done safely. It is okay to do in the case of private or package private, since in those cases the possible overriding
