[1.16.5] Error "malformed input around byte" when trying to connect to modded server with my mod

Hey, I have a minecraft modded server running on mohist in order to test my mod, however, I can connect to the server but can't join the world because of the following error : "UTFDataFormatException: malformed input around byte", and the thing is, it works perfectly fine in singleplayer, and I don't know at all what is causing this error. So if I can get some help it would be nice, thanks.

And the only error I have on the console server side is :

did you use other mod on the server?
because the problem is this class: 'hu.montlikadani.tablist.bukkit.tablist.groups.impl.ReflectionHandled'
but i can't find the class in your repo
i think the code which throws the NullPointerException is client side
which would explain why there is no problem in the single player

alright so the author of the plugin says that it doesn't seem to be caused by the plugin.

And so I looked on the logs of my minecraft launcher and I got this error when I connect:

    • Hello, i've had this happen today with the appleskin mod particularly, i had been able to play without any major issues, however when i attempted to launch today, i keep getting the following error: "AppleSkin (appleskin) has failed to load correctly java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException: null" Here's a paste of the crash report And here's a paste of the latest log to be noted, my game has been extremely laggy and crashing quite often (although i assume its because of the mods, which are many, despite them being mostly QoL stuff)  any help would be welcome, thank you very much!
