Render blockItem on head (1.16)

Hi, anyone has any kind of tutorial or documentation about how to render things like armor or equipable items??

I'm trying to use the curios api to equip a hat, but I'm messing it up. Also, i cant make the model in blockbench because is a blockitem (or can I?), not an armor entity. Or there is a way to just imitate the function of the command "/replaceitem entity @p slot.armor.head <item>" without adding an item to the slot??(Just render the block) That would be very useful.

If not, anyone has any tutorial to render things in the common way? I can't find anything,

Thanks in advance.
