well the block part there already something for that (i forgot what it is but its just a method you call)

but for the attack range you will need to make a core mod because its not possible with forge currently

but lex doesnt like the idea anyway

see:

http://www.minecraftforge.net/forum/index.php/topic,9059.msg45909.html#msg45909

EDIT:

entityPlayerMP.theItemInWorldManager.setBlockReachDistance(double);

Sorry about my noobness, but is double a parameter? I get an error underneath it. xD

double variableName = 0.1;

entityPlayerMP.theItemInWorldManager.setBlockReachDistance(variableName);//statement 1

entityPlayerMP.theItemInWorldManager.setBlockReachDistance(0.1);//statement 2

statement 1 and 2 are exactly the same

*facepalm* learn a bit more java okay, itll help you a lot to make awesome mode with beautifull code, faster

i was saying this because this is the method you need to call to make it longer, but you need a variable entityPlayerMP of type EntityPlayerMP .. maybe a IPlayerTracker would be a good place to do this

Sorry I know I am so bad at java, I want to learn, and this is a way to learn, how would I define this? I can tell it's not

public static EntityPlayerMP entityPlayerMP

Can you please help, and like I said, I really want to help and this is a way to learn.

Also, I checked http://jd.minecraftforge.net/cpw/mods/fml/common/IPlayerTracker.html#method_summary and it doesn't seem that there is anything about reach distance there.

setting yourself on fire is a way to learn that fire is hot... but its not necessarelly a good way

[lmgtfy]java interface[/lmgtfy] <- to learn a bit more about java

[lmgtfy]minecraft forge javadoc IPlayerTracker[/lmgtfy] <- the class you should be using

You told me to use that line of code, but not where to use it. I am trying to use it in

if(stack != null && stack.getItem() == Items.TestKhopesh)

Should I be using this in the code I posted above, or should I be using this somewhere else, and if so, where should I put it? Sorry that I am not that smart, I am new to java and I really want to learn (for the 3rd time xD) but because of that I can't understand where to put that automatically, even after I read both of those.

you read both and you understand both perfectly ?

if after reading what an interface is you dont understand it.

then you might have to learn about:

[lmgtfy]java abstract class[/lmgtfy]

[lmgtfy]java casting[/lmgtfy]

[lmgtfy]java class[/lmgtfy]

[lmgtfy]java static and not static[/lmgtfy]

[lmgtfy]java public and private[/lmgtfy]

all these are actually very important to understand what you're doing

Do you think you could just walk me through it instead of just sending me a bunch of google searches? If not that's ok.

well to give you a comparison, these subject are given in the 2nd class of java at my university, so that after 45h of class, this is in no way to discourage you. But as you can see to understand fully what you are doing you need to study a lot.

its not my style to give answer you can copy paste, but maybe someone in the forums is nicer then me and will. but if you copy paste their answer you wont understand it.

so no i cannot walk you through the solution because it would take more time then i can afford, if however you want explanation on a certain subject i would gladly help explain it but you MUST have made some research before. not just come here and say "hey teach me everything about objects"
