How to add armour textures (correctly)?

when trying to add armour textures it does not work like every other thing in the game.

	public static ArmorMaterial RUBYARMOUR = EnumHelper.addArmorMaterial("RUBY", "forge_TheEpicarnoMod:textures/armour/ruby/ruby", 12, new int[] {3, 6, 6, 3}, 15);

 

This looks like it should load the texture from within my mod but when running it, it fails to load as it's trying to get the texture from

somewhere else

 

[20:21:02] [Client thread/WARN]: Failed to load texture: textures/models/armor/forge_theepicarnomod:textures/armour/relic/relic_layer_1.png

 

I'm pretty confused about what it's trying to do.

Anyway what version are you using?

It's minecraft 1.8, forge 11.14.1285

That version is 2 months old. Update to the latest version.

Ok but I really don't think that is the problem.

Still, if updating didn't fix that issue, it fixes a lot of other issues.

And has broken all multitexture blocks in my mod... They are all missing textures now.

 

Going to have to downgrade this update ruined all my textures.

Ugh figured out the json crap, idk if armor worked but it's gonna take a while to get my mod working again.
