Cannot open my mod

Hi. I'm having trouble with my mod.

Yesterday, I copied my mod from my PC to a USB, so I could work on it on my laptop. But it said something was wrong with .classpath or .project file.

Please help. Thanks.

I'll update this in a moment once I found out it's the .classpath or .project file.

Not sure if this would help, but my laptop uses Windows 8 and my PC uses Window 7

You copied the project folder, but not the files the project needs to run; there's files at c:\users\[username]\.gradle that are required by Forge (this is where it keeps things like the Minecraft jar).

You need to run

gradle setupDecompWorkspace

again.

This is why I only move my /src directory between computers, rather than the /forge directory.

Edit:

Didn't mean to "Thank" your post.  I was trying to switch tabs.

If you are planning to switch alot between your PC and laptop, why not consider a Git project? It would make it alot easier to work on it from multiple devices.

Don't PM me with questions. They will be ignored! Make a thread on the appropriate board for support.

1.7.10 and older versions of Minecraft are no longer supported due to it's age! Update to the latest version for support.

Yep, I deserved that. I meant to say desktop and laptop.

No, you meant to say "a lot" not "alot."

It's been here for quite some time :D I love it (Draco was the one who introduced it right?)

EDIT (posts below)

Yes I know he didn't invent it, he just introduced it here :D

1.7.10 is no longer supported by forge, you are on your own.

I've known about it for a while, I just haven't linked it very often.  So yeah, the other day might've been the first time I used it here.
