How to Localize Block and Item Names?

So I've seen that Minecraft Forge allows you to add localizations for mobs, but I haven't seen anything to do with adding localizations for blocks and items. It's not really necessary for my mod, but I would like to be able to add localizations for my blocks and items. Thanks in advance if you have any help!

So I thought I had it figured out through Entity localization and etc. and used code like this

LanguageRegistry.instance().addStringLocalization("tile.oreAmethyst", "en_US", "Amethyst Ore");

for blocks and

LanguageRegistry.instance().addStringLocalization("item.amethyst", "en_US", "Amethyst");

for items. However, now none of the blocks or items have any name in-game anymore.
