How does one send messages and command exceptions to the users that will be translated on arrival?

I know how to get messages sent from a ICommand implementation to a player, but how does that message get translated for them from the .lang file?

PS: Is there a way to check that all my translations in the .lang file was successfully read?

Use a

TextComponentTranslation

to send a chat message that's translated to the client's locale on arrival. If you throw a

CommandException

(or a subclass) from your command, it will be sent to the command sender as a

TextComponentTranslation

.

Please don't PM me to ask for help. Asking your question in a public thread preserves it for people who are having the same problem in the future.

All of the entries in your langfile will be successfully read.

That doesn't mean there wasn't a typo so that a string that goes for attempted translation ends up not finding one (validating this is an NP Hard problem).

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.
