[1.10.2] More drops when broken with specific item?

I have an ore that's set to be broken by a Hammer of sorts. When it's broken with a Pickaxe, I want it to drop 2-3 of the ore, which I've got set up, but when a player breaks it with the Hammer tool, I want it to drop 8-10. Any way I can make this work?

Try using onBlockHarvested or removedByPlayer

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

They're called at different times.  IIRC removedByPlayer calls onBlockHarvested.

 

onBlockHarvested is probably better for what you're doing.
