[ForgeGradle] Access Transformer + Intellij IDEA

Due to how ForgeGradle reassembles the userdev jar upon adding an access transformer, I am no longer able to access MinecraftForge sources from within my IDE, and by extension, parameter names and JavaDocs. Has anybody had (and hopefully solved) this issue? It has severely impacted my workflow.

You shouldn't be using Access Transformers anyway. Use Reflection instead.

Apparently I'm a complete and utter jerk and come to this forum just like to make fun of people, be confrontational, and make your personal life miserable.  If you think this is the case, JUST REPORT ME.  Otherwise you're just going to get reported when you reply to my posts and point it out, because odds are, I was trying to be nice.

Exception: If you do not understand Java, I WILL NOT HELP YOU and your thread will get locked.

DO NOT PM ME WITH PROBLEMS. No help will be given.

Reflection only incurs the overhead for getting the field.  Save a reference to it and reuse it.  The invoke and get/set stuff the JVM optimizes pretty damn well.

Reflection incurs overhead that I'd like to avoid, as I'm accessing a field on each of a list of entities, every tick.

MethodHandles (that work with fields as well, don't let the name confuse you) have no oberhead as they get optimised by the JIT into just direct access. Also, premature optimisation is the root of all evil.

If my post helped you, please press that "Thank You"-button to show your appreciation.

Also if you don't know Java, I would suggest you read the official tutorials by Oracle to get an idea of how to do this. Thanks, and good modding!

Also if you haven't, set up a Git repo for your mod not only for convinience but also to make it easier to help you.
