Minecraft Forge 1.11.2 Modding Tutorials by Alex Couch (Yours Truly)

Just something I noticed checking out your tutorials, I believe you should not be using getItemModelMesher to register your models anymore, I think it should be using ModelLoader.setCustomModelResourceLocation.

Just figured I'd mention it so you can show people the correct way of doing it. :)

I have found that these are both correct ways of doing so and I have gotten use to doing it this way, but I will update my tutorial to include both ways of approaching this. Thanks for the feedback!

The ItemModelMesher requires you to call it at a very specific time. ModelLoader has a clear event (ModelRegistryEvent) that tells you when to call it. Yes, you could use ItemModelMesher, but that would be like using Block.REGISTRY to manually register your blocks instead of GameRegistry.register (hint: don't ever do that!).
