Crash on Start up/Wrong Version Install? - 1.12.2

I hope my mess up isn't too simple. (I didn't see an answer in the other threads, BTW) ^.^;

I used the correct Windows download. (The .EXE)

I have only basic mods.

Another issue I'm having is, it seems to install version 1.12 not 1.12.2.... (I think that maybe a bug though.)

Ya, your issue is that you have tons of mods for 1.12.2 installed and are running a 1.12.0 version of Minecraft.

Go to the downloads page and download 1.12.2 not 1.12.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

Ok, I figured it out. I just deleted the 1.12 version, and made a custom launch for 1.12.2.

For some reason, the vanilla launcher didn't want to switch to the most recent version.

Thank you anyway. ^.^;
