    • basically i just downloaded 1.16.1 forge, had a few problems but got past them. finally installed it and its now in my versions for minecraft. whenever i try to start it the launcher prepares and finalizes it which is normal, but instead of starting minecraft it flashes a popup that closes after a few seconds before the game crashes. the popup says, "FML early loading progress." its a blank screen thatt lasts a couple seconds before the launcher re-opens and reports the game crash. I have no mods in the folder. idk if this is relevant or useful but the version name in the launcher is "1.16.1-forge-32.0.20". thanks for any help you can give.

    • Note that 1.16 does not have an MCP snapshot, due to ongoing development of a new deobfuscation scheme called MSSS. MSSS is not ready yet and so you're going to run into more cases of functions having SRG names ("func_12345_a" and the like)
    • Yup that's exactly what it was, the blockstate. I set up a proper block handler class for all my blocks, and now referencing that made it work.
    • I guess my question is more like, what variable type do i use to pass the parameter (since it's my first time working with sets lol). I've tried HashSet (where i had /*HERE*/ before) new HashSet(Blocks.OAK_WOOD) but that doesn't seem to work. I guess i should also explain completely what i'm trying to do. I'm adding a couple of blocks that only drop certain resources when mined with this new type tools.
