Forge/Multicraft Strange Issue/Bug

Hello,

Just here to see if anyone can help with a weird issue i have come across, i use Multicraft to run some private servers on a server in my house, and i am currently playing FTB Continuum, when i updated that modpack from 1.3.1 to 1.4, its forge version changed from 2705 to 2730 and on multicraft its now unable to dected the server being live and is just always offline, and the players currently on the server have gone from just their username to "[minecraft/PlayerList]: Player Name"(Added an image below if this from the Players tab on multicraft) and ive been trying to figure this out and ive found some places quoting an older version of forge that did this when the logging output was changed and to add a log4j.xml, but theres been no documentation on how to do this and it has me in a complete cofuffle... Now this isnt stopping me from running the servers, they run just fine, but its just one of those small announcances that hopefully letting you guys know about it might be able to get it fixed, that is if it is indeed a forge bug but if its a Multicraft issue then i will contact them for help after.

Thanks for reading and help in advance :)

Does this affect the player's data at all? (Asking because I, too, run a forge server).

Follow these rules when talking to me, and we'll get along fine.

1).I know Java fairly well. I don't know as much about modding. They are not the same, don't compare them.

2). I consider myself to always be learning. I make mistakes, you make mistakes. Who doesn't?

3). Insult me, and I will leave the thread. I have a real life, I don't have time to throw petty insults in a Minecraft Modding forum.

Not that I have seen, our inventories where the same when we joined after updating, I think it’s litterly just the control panel that hooks into the server to grab the data is having a bad time doing so, which is why if it’s not forge I’ll have a talk with multicraft, but I decided to come here as here has a forum and they don’t.

This should not affect any player data. This would have to do with how multicraft hooks into Forge. If this is an issue for you I recommend you downgrade to 14.23.4.2705 as it is the latest stable version of forge. You shouldn't have any issues downgrading. This is most likely not an issue with forge. Something multicraft hooks into might have changed causing these issues. This is something multicraft will have to fix on their end.

Multicraft issue, if they are charging you money to use our free software, it is on them to deal with whatever interop/changes happens. Never come to us for these types of things.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.

I have been having the same issue, also when I move the server back to my home computer (no multicraft) I notice it never generates crash logs, and if I use the graphical minecraft server client (aka running it via clicking on the server jar) there is nothing in the log screen.  The lack of log or chat in the graphical server occur both in my modded pack, and in a brand new install of forge on my home computer, no mods added yet.

However if I run forge from command line at the start in all cases I see these lines: (this is both in my multicraft install and my home install as well as a clean forge install)

23.07 17:21:23 [Server] INFO 2018-07-23 17:21:23,204 main ERROR Error processing element Queue ([Appenders: null]): CLASS_NOT_FOUND

23.07 17:21:23 [Server] INFO 2018-07-23 17:21:23,222 main ERROR Unable to locate appender "ServerGuiConsole" for logger config "root"
