PapaVinny
This code is supposed to make the player you hit play the swingarm animation: https://github.com/PapaVinny/ffCombat/blob/master/java/mod/papavinny/swordfight/swordfightEvents.java It does, but the other player does not see a swing animation on their screen/first person. Only the one who hit sees the player swing in multiplayer. Anyone know why that could be? Edited June 19, 2019 by PapaVinny
Draco18s
Your repository is missing. You're almost certainly doing this client side, so only the person attacking sees the animation because you never bothered telling the server or other players that you did a thing. PapaVinny
Thank you, I'm having a hard time figuring out how to get my client to send packet to server, to a specific client. Any further help would be appreciated
TheKingElessar
Here's some code with explanations on how to send packets from the client to the server that I threw together. Sending a packet from the server to a client seems to use the same concepts. From the Forge documentation: // Sending to one player ModPacketHandler.INSTANCE.send(PacketDistributor.PLAYER.with(playerMP), new ExamplePacket()); // Send to all players tracking this chunk ModPacketHandler.INSTANCE.send(PacketDistributor.TRACKING_CHUNK.with(chunk), new ExamplePacket()); // Sending to all connected players ModPacketHandler.INSTANCE.send(PacketDistributor.ALL.noArg(), new ExamplePacket()); I don't actually know how a client would go about receiving a packet. I'd recommend looking at these two threads on these forums: Edited June 20, 2019 by TheKingElessar
