Need Help with NullPointerException

Hello, S I'm making a new Furnace with 5 input slots, but whenever I try to open the gui of the block it crashes the game and I get this error report:

 

java.lang.NullPointerException

at net.minecraft.src.Slot.getStack(Slot.java:77)

i have no idea what I'm supposed to do with that.

 

Please don't hate on me if this is a simple fix, I just can't figure it out.

Somehow, you're having a different Slot class then I.

But it looks like somehow the slot inventory is null.

Figure out how you created a clot with a null inventory.

I do Forge for free, however the servers to run it arn't free, so anything is appreciated.
