[1.15.2] Version-specific mods folder not recognized

Recommended Posts

Just installed forge 1.15.2 and put in a couple of compatible mods in the mods folder. I have multiple forge versions, so each version's mods are separated with version-specific folders in the mods folder, as shown in this screenshot. The 1.15.2 mods load and work fine when they are outside the 1.15.2 folder, but when they are put inside, forge doesn't see them and launches without any mods. I'm posting here because for all other versions, having a version-specific mod folder works fine. If I just leave the mods outside the 1.15.2 folder, I can't launch 1.8.9 forge without crashing. I switch frequently between the two versions, so I don't want to move mods in and out of the folder every time I switch.

That feature has been removed. Use launcher profile instead.

1. Do not follow tutorials on YouTube, especially TechnoVision (previously called Loremaster) and HarryTalks, due to their promotion of bad practice and usage of outdated code.

2. Always post your code.

3. Never copy and paste code. You won't learn anything from doing that.

2. Versions below 1.11 are no longer supported due to their age. Update to a modern version of Minecraft to receive support.

Sorry, I'm a bit confused. What do you mean by this? I have a launcher profile for 1.15.2 forge.

You should use different launcher profiles for different versions of Forge. Each of them can point to a different game directory, and you can keep your mods separated.

Got it, thanks for the help. Everything's working seamlessly now.
