Questions about the Forge

Hello dear Forge developers, I have a few questions about the current state of forge development, can you answer them?
- How soon will it be possible to edit configs directly in the mods menu?
- In your plans, there is a point to withdraw forge from the beta version for all versions of Minecraft?
- I noticed that now you cannot put mods for new versions on the old version of Minecraft "for example, a mod for 1.16.3 on version 1.16.1" so it was before?
Or did it just seem to me when I experimented on older versions of Minecraft "put mods for 1.7.2 on 1.7.10" or does it only work one way?
- Will the mod loading screen return as in 1.12.2 ?

As soon as someone makes the effort of implementing it.

What?

Inter-version compatibility of mods is always a shaky thing. It will only work if the differences between the versions are very minor. 1.16.2 was more of a major version update (it should have been 1.17...). 1.7.2 and 1.7.10 where similar enough that it worked for some mods.

Probably not.

Thank you very much for your answers.
The last question was really unnecessary, I'm sorry.

About the withdrawal of Forge from the beta version. I noticed that now the development is aimed at the latest version of Minecraft (1.16.3) I would like to know when the update will be released for 1.16.1. After playing for more than a few dozen hours on the version of Forge 32.0.108, I noticed that it is already more than ready for release. In addition, this warning about the beta version at the top of the screen is a little annoying, if only it could be removed)

    • In 1.15 and before, you could get the item being held/dragged by the cursor using PlayerInventory#getItemStack. This no longer seems to be the case. How do we do this now?
    • I created a particle using  public class NukeParticle extends BasicParticleType implements IParticleData { public NukeParticle(boolean alwaysShow) { super(alwaysShow); } @Override public BasicParticleType getType() { return ParticleTypes.LARGE_SMOKE; } @Override public String getParameters() { return ParticleTypes.LARGE_SMOKE.getParameters(); } } and when I register it using  public class ParticlesReg { public static final RegistryObject<NukeParticle> YELLOW_PART = Regist.PARTICLES.register("yellow_particle", ()-> new NukeParticle(true)); public static void Register() { } } it just seems to crash anyone got an idea to what is going on the crash log is  ---- Minecraft Crash Report ---- // Shall we play a game? • Alright, so, I have a question. Is it possible to display multiple cameras when spectating as an entity? How would I achieve that? I know ServerPlayer handles the spectating of entities and accepts a single camera but Platin told me it might be possible to have multiple cameras displaying at once.
