Hunger bar disappears when in boat

Don't usually post on forums like this because I'm too nervous but I seriously can't find anything anywhere about how to fix this bug so I guess this is my only option. Currently playing on forge 1.16.3 with OptiFine and for some reason whenever I enter a boat my hunger bar disappears. Figured I would just use a different version of forge 1.16.3 but I've tried just about every single version and this bug happens in every single one of them. For me anyway. I'm playing with OptiFine and at first I thought it was a bug with that, but I deleted it and the bug still persists. I know this isn't supposed to be happening because in vanilla 1.16.3 the hunger bar still shows whenever I'm in a boat. I don't know if this is an issue with forge itself or maybe something else I'm unaware of that's affecting it, but can somebody please tell me how to fix this? I know it wouldn't matter to most people but its driving me crazy. Let me know if I need to provide more information.

Isn't that normal anyway? Hunger bars always seemed to disappear when riding entities

Nah fam lol that's definitely not normal. In the vanilla game it stays on the screen. Always has. I think you're under the impression that I mean my hunger goes down. THAT is normal, I just mean that the entire hunger bar itself isn't on screen at all, meaning I can't see how much hunger I even have to begin with while I'm in a boat. Which is not normal.

It's normal on optifine for your hunger bar to dissapear. It's for ease of usage

Hmm... well then in that case I don't understand why whenever I removed OptiFine from my game entirely it still persisted. And I always see all these YouTubers such as the people on HermitCraft using OptiFine in the most recent versions of Minecraft, yet whenever they enter boats in their episodes their hunger bar still remains on the screen. Can somebody at least tell me if there's a way I can make it not disappear because based on literally everything I've found on the internet it just seems wrong lol. I have watched numerous Minecraft YouTubers use OptiFine in 1.16 and this is the very first time I am encountering this. And so far I have yet to see it anywhere else. Idk maybe I'm just going insane.

Well if there is then could you please tell me where it is located? I'm looking absolutely everywhere in the settings and I'm unable to find it. Really don't think its OptiFine related since it still happens when I uninstall OptiFine, and I like to think that if it was a normal Minecraft thing I would have known about it by now. So I'm fairly certain its just a bug with forge. I also didn't mess with any settings at all, it just randomly started happening. But if there is somehow a setting that will allow me to make things go back to normal please tell me how I can get to it because despite my looking I am unable to find any settings like that.

Bruh then how come when I do it in vanilla the hunger bar is still visible on the screen, or when I watch several videos of Minecraft YouTubers in boats their hunger bar is still on the screen as well? This is the very first time in my seven or eight years of playing Minecraft that this has happened to me. Starting to think you guys seriously don't understand what I mean or that you're just purposefully messing with me lol. Just to disprove your point, here is this episode of Grian's HermitCraft 7 series. Skip to 16:01. He's in a boat and the hunger bar is still on the screen. This is how it should be for me, but its not. Please tell me how to fix it.

Just to clarify even further, the first image is a screenshot of me in vanilla Minecraft, completely unmodded, in a boat, with the hunger bar still on the screen. The second image is of me in Minecraft forge, WITHOUT OptiFine or any other mods active except for forge itself, in a boat, with the hunger bar NOT on the screen. This is what I'm dealing with and what I'm trying to fix.

Oh okay lol, that's fine we all derp up completely sometimes. But thank you so much I really appreciate it. Doesn't necessarily impact the game in any way but little things like this still drive me crazy. So yea if you can manage to find me a way to fix this I would really appreciate that a lot.

Keep an eye on that, and we'll let you know when the fix is pulled.
