Incompatible FML modded server while it's compatible

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I'm playing CraftToExile modpack (1.15.2 with Forge 31.2.47) and I see this message in multiplayer menu:

fml.png.e83e80549bd01d77f92d6b28db46f0c9.png

Though I'm able to connect and play.

I believe I can't fix the problem by myself, but maybe there's an option in Forge config to disable this message?

Logs:

latest.log

Thanks.

And I'm curious why Forge tell's "Incompatible Vanilla Server" when it's loading, is there any way to change this message? I saw some Forge modded servers with custom messages like "Booting" or this:

dynview=1.5, thutperms=3.0.6, bettermobgriefinggamerule=1.15.2-8.0.1, deuf=1.1

These mods are installed on the server but not the client. The mods do not report themselves as being server-side only, hence the connection is deemed incompatible.

Same answer with quickteleports and quickhomes.

The answer is not to install these (apparently intended to be server-only) mods on the client. You need to report this bug to the mod author for them to fix their mod.

They are on the server and not on the client. By default this causes the warning message, because the mod list does not match between server and client.

If they are mods that are intended to be server-side only, they need to tell Forge this (these mods don't).

There isn't a way to change this message without modifying Forge. Honestly I have no idea how they managed to put "sleeping" there without a modified client.

Okay, thanks again for your help

Oh, and forgot the last thing - sometimes my server doesn't stop as I expect. World is saved correctly (as I can see), but it just stays with ">" symbol like it's still server's console and doesn't return the Ubuntu's tty and I have to reboot. How can I find out the reason of this?

If you haven't programmed Java before that's probably not something you can do.

Well, to avoid rebooting server then: if I wasn't returned to tty - server is still running, and I need to kill process and only then launch it again? And after the ChunkManager output there's nothing related to world data, and I can say the world is saved successfully?

None of the sentences you posted that end with "?" seem like questions to me. I do not understand what you need.

Already checked this.

Thanks for your help again.
