    I thought it was supposed to have an executable jar file with it. I know it at least used to.

    After not using mods for a while I have attempted to re-download/update my forge to 1.12. After using the installer that comes through the new version in my .minecraft folder does not have a .jar file. Is there any known reason why? Also, is there a known way to fix/solve this? For the record I do not know much about adding mods so I may need a bit of explaining if I have done something silly.
