    Can forge be used with deobfuscated and/or non-vanilla jars?

    TNT936B posted a topic in General Discussion
    Instead of forge using the original jar, such as the "1.8.9.jar" file, can forge use other jars? For example a deobfuscated version of the vanilla jar, or a deobfuscated vanilla jar with slight modifications.? If it can, what extent can a jar file be modified that will break forge compatibility?
