Nevermind. My firewall was blocking java. lol!

I am unable to install forge. I am not sure why. I have tried installing a fresh version of minecraft and a fresh version of java (both the dev kit and the runtime environment) and I have even tried editing my path variables in my system settings. I don't know what to do from here and any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance! P.S. I am running the latest version of windows 10 with jre1.8.0_144
