i followed your video and still got the same issue at the end.

i did do .jar aswell, both come up as an error

it would just be named after this right? i tried it without adding .jar to the end and with it

what is then? thats what it says on the .jar that i downloaded

i didn't have an option to open cmd when doing the shift + right click so i just opened it the usual way, typed it in, and got this.

i tried using the jar installer but i got this message. i followed the steps from the other threads where you enter java -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -jar forge-1.12.2-14.23.0.2491-installer in the cmd but it says Error: Unable to access jarfile forge-1.12.2-14.23.0.2491-installer really not sure what else to do at this point
