  1. Not latest.log, fml-client-latest.log
  2. Oh hehe, went to inspect the issue with 7zip and found the reference jar is corrupted. I'll see if replacing it with the universal copy works. Edit: IT DID. Wow. Thanks Lex, if you hadn't told me to look for a log file and where that class was, I'd have never put 2 and 2 together. Your reputation is now 1337.
  3. The log above is the offline error log, gotten from Game Output. The game fails to launch.
  4. I think the installer didn't work right when I ran it - is there a manual download or a component of Universal install that will fix the error?
  5. Nope. How do I get it to be able to find the tweak class net.minecraftforge.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker? Is it a library of some form I need to locate?
  6. The java launcher works fine on every other version I have - but not 1.10.2 forge. Although it seems I may have fixed it with my latest tampering.
  7. I don’t use the modern launcher on any of my devices anymore. I use the java launcher.
  8. The game throws an error and quits before launch. The Minecraft launcher closes, then waits a bit and reopens with a game output window saying the above error.
  9. 1.7.10 seems to be fixed now, but 1.10.2 isn’t. How do i use spoiler tags? Ok, game output since there is no fml client log: [11:11:43] [main/INFO]: Loading tweak class name net.minecraftforge.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker[11:11:43] [main/ERROR]: Unable to launchjava.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.minecraftforge.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweakerat java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) ~[?:1.8.0_77]at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) ~[?:1.8.0_77]at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) ~[?:1.8.0_77]at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) ~[?:1.8.0_77]at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.LaunchClassLoader.findClass(LaunchClassLoader.java:106) ~[launchwrapper-1.12.jar:?]at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) ~[?:1.8.0_77]at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) ~[?:1.8.0_77]at java.lang.Class.forName0(Native Method) ~[?:1.8.0_77]at java.lang.Class.forName(Unknown Source) ~[?:1.8.0_77]at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.launch(Launch.java:98) [launchwrapper-1.12.jar:?]at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.main(Launch.java:28) [launchwrapper-1.12.jar:?]Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM warning: Using incremental CMS is deprecated and will likely be removed in a future release
  10. I am using the most recent Java launcher (native doesn't play nice with my firewall). it says: Loading tweak class name net.minecraftforge.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker Unable to launch java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net.minecraftforge.fml.common.launcher.FMLTweaker then just the typical 64bit CMS GC warning after ~10 lines of java stuff pertinent to the ClassNotFoundException.
  11. Fair enough. I knew something was fishy with that log too - it's not what I see when I run Forge.
  12. Try the vanilla MC launcher.
  13. Huh. It should be looking for somwhere on Minecraftforge.net
  14. If you have a 144 hz monitor then set your FPS cap to 144. Anything above it is just a waste of processor power.
  15. That's because that doesn’t exist. How did you install Forge?
  16. Okay, I have a Forge install that works. However, when I go behind a firewall or turn off my internet, it always says failed to load FML tweaker stuffs. How do I fix this? 1.10.2 solutions are okay, but if you all have anything that may work for 1.7.10 too as well that'd be great.
  17. Yep, that's basically the case. My firewall, which I don't have admin access over, doesn't play nice with .jars and .exes not on a whitelist. Forge can't access the Internet - it's effectively offline. as for a list, I can have that for you tomorrow. Wait lex... Have you thought of a libraries download each version? The libraries aren’t too big, and so if you only stored one copy of a library list in a .zip for every time you upgrade versions of stuff (so like 1.7.10 to 1.10.2 (I think)). That way, if you need the libraries as one concise download, you can get them, but if you don't, it doesn't take up as much space as bundling with the launcher. Heck, even just a 'libraries' dropdown for each Forge version allowing you to download each library individually via link.
  18. Good point. I don't understand why Forge has the versions.json in the universal install either, just guessing at possible reasons.
  19. It could be that the version.json is inside of the universal install so that devices that can't run the .jar installers or the windows installers can install Forge. And yes, MC runs without java installed now. The new native launcher allows that.
  20. Or, you know, it's for jar incompatible systems that can run Minecraft.
  21. It's in every universal install.
  22. I understand how it works. If the libraries were packaged with the installer, then it'd work. I understand the issue with the ten installs and ten resulting copies of the libraries. The launcher can do it, and the version.json file is inside the .jar on the universal install.
  23. Yes... I realize that. They'd also be installed by the launcher if I wasn't offline rn and using cell data to do this. The profile is all set up (and heck, the issue is that the libraries aren't packaged in with the installer lol, if someone went and got them and took the installer, they could add the libraries and recompile and it'd work fine lol)
  24. I have the Universal copy, it's just asking for 13 specific library files. I can compile a list for you if you like. (Edit: The Forge profile has been created, it just errors when I try to open it)
  25. You kidding? All the best modpacks are for 1.7.10! I use the 1.10 packs too but I enjoy the 1.7 ones as well.
