  1. OK, let's try this again... This code is my ItemObsidianhelmet.java file package items; import com.garagesaleman.mod1.Main; import com.garagesaleman.mod1.Reference; import net.minecraft.item.Item; public class ItemObsidianhelmet extends Item { public ItemObsidianhelmet() { setUnlocalizedName(Reference.mod1Items.OBSIDIANHELMET.getUnlocalizedName()); setRegistryName(Reference.mod1Items.OBSIDIANHELMET.getRegistryName()); setCreativeTab(Main.tabMod1); } } And here is the json { "parent": "item/generated", "textures": { "layer0": "gm1:items/obsidianhelmet" }, "display": { "thirdperson": { "rotation": [-90,0,0], "translation": [0,1,-3], "scale": [0.55,0.55,0.55] }, "firstperson": { "rotation": [0,-135,25], "translation": [0,4,2], "scale": [1.7,1.7,1.7] } } } Everything else seems to work.
  2. Sure, here ya go itemobsidianhelmet.json ItemObsidianhelmet.java
  3. Hey team I've created armor (in a mod, NOT in a resource pack), added it to the registry, created custom images, they render OK both as inventory items and as handheld objects, added the inventory in custom tab, the correct name shows up for the items.... almost everything is working..... BUT I can't *wear* the armor. Is this a problem with inherited models? "parent":"item/generated" should be something about armor head, foot, torso? I've been searching the internet but can't find the other code choices??? block/cube_all item/generated item/handheld item/handheld_rod what are the other options? I'm new to modding, but I'm getting the hang of it... sort of! Any help would be amazing. I'm in Minecraft 1.11.2
