  1. Nevermind! It appears the issue was the java development kit. even though I had apparently uninstalled it in the past it remained in my pc. With it being removed, the server works now. Thanks for the heads up though
  2. So how would I go about making sure its a java 8 compatible forge installer?
  3. Hey all, to cover somethings quickly before we get into the issue: Yes I've made servers like this before, Yes both modded and vanilla, but earlier versions. This is my first time attempting with 1.12 latest. The issue: The forge server universal (Titled: forge-1.12.2-14.23.3.2655-universal.jar) Will not open/launch to apply the mods folders, and all the other required libraries for running a forge server. Other than that all my other forge files have been installed correctly including client versions. Heres a screenshot of the folder I currently have on my desktop with the server: On a previous test (following youtube tutorials) I have run the minecraft jar server first, then tried to run forge, with no luck either. It seems that the universal jar just does not run at all upon opening it. And yes I made sure to agree to the eula=true and all that. I also have latest java version: Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
