    Messing with 3rd person camera

    Hello, I'm looking to move the camera relatively to where it would be in current 3rd person mode (definitely upward and maybe to the side), find out where this new view's crosshair is looking at (As well as draw a crosshair in 3rd person, unless it already does and is just obscured by my head), and where the player entity is looking at if I consider a ray from the player to the point where the new view's crosshair ray hits something. I can't seem to figure out how to move the camera in the first place, could someone please point me in the right direction? Many thanks for reading and thrice as many for replying!
