Well I did install that proper version today, it's in my versions folder, the one the launcher wants to download isn't in my versions folder, the problem is it doesn't exist i just don't really know how to get rid of that and make it download the newer version

I found something, while in the launcher its asking to download 1.12.2-14.23.2.2611 in my versions the forge i have is 1.12.2-14.23.4.2705. That should clear stuff up right?

yes you're right, i just saw now though that i seem to have two versions of forge so let me tweak some things and see if it works, i dont expect it to because this problem has been going on a while and i just reinstalled again today

No I never said I was using the Twitch client, I said I had it, not that I used it.

Well I don't think optifine is the problem, I removed all the mods and it still wont go.

So should I use that or not, since I'm using the normal MC Launcher?
