Half the Minecraft multiplayer player-base still play 1.8, shut the fuck up and stop being so ignorant

It works most the time, but I didnt even do anything, when i did restart mc or my pc nothing changed, but when I did nothing 50x it worked. this is as confusing as it sounds and i am just going to go play minecraft now

Ok I just tried with no mods. Still had a black screen. :-: I have re installed everything, even minecraft itself ;-;

When I try to install 1.8.9 forge. I have downloaded ~10 different versions of forge, all had the same issue. If you could help that would be great!
