  1. I ended up just wiping literally everything and it worked lmao thanks
  2. Yes whenever I run runClient it gives me that error, though I did cd <file path> and gradlew genIntellijRuns
  3. Yes I think so, unless my problem was during these processes I'm also getting this: Error: Could not find or load main class net.minecraftforge.userdev.LaunchTesting Process finished with exit code 1
  4. I did this, and now this is appearing: Also sorry if this is annoying to you, I'm very new to all this and I'm an ex-Ubuntu user
  5. I thought I uninstalled all Java9+ stuff, how do I make sure I did? Whenever I type java -version in the Terminal it only shows Java 8. Also I'm a little daft could you tell me where and how to see what JAVA_HOME is set to?
  6. And no my mod ID isn't capitalized
  7. Today I decided I wanted to get into modding, so I did the first step in creating my workstation. I downloaded IntelliJ, changed the PATH variable to JDK, changed all the examplemod names, etc. but whenever I try to run Minecraft from IntelliJ, it crashes. Any and all support is greatly appreciated! crash-2020-04-17_19.06.29-client.txt
  8. Yeah, I've read this before and did what it said, I just don't know if I've set it to the right directory since there's three options. But now I can't even access /etc/environment OR /etc/profile for some reason as of late, and I could earlier....
  9. It worked! thank you so much
  10. Dang this affects FML? If so, is the only solution to install new ones?
  11. Hi, to get this program I want running I need to set my JAVA_HOME variable to point to the JDK installation directory and I have no idea how to do that. I run Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Any help is appreciated.
  12. I saw something in hs_err_pidxxxx.log. Something about core dumps? Debug and hs_err_pidxxxx.log: debug.log hs_err_pid7443.log
  13. Hi all, I recently installed both Java and FML to try and download some mods, and it seems to be all good until I launch the forge profile. It gets to about 3/7 and just crashes my entire computer. I would provide a log but I can't as my computer crashes every time. My OS is Ubuntu 16.04 LTS and my Java version is 1.8.0_171 and I installed the 1.12.2 version of FML. I read the rules and EAQ and couldn't find a solution for this. Any and all help is appreciated, thanks. EDIT: I forgot to add this but when I look into my .minecraft folder it doesn't seem like Forge installed at all?
