I think I did generate the patches (don't really remember), but I'll check again. Also a few reasons why I didn't run from the IDE is my computer is pretty slow to handle both minecraft and intellij idea. Also a few other reasons I really don't wish to mention. I'll gen patches again and report back. Thanks

Hello. I've been coding mods using Forge for such a while, and I have decided to try to contribute to it. I have setup my workspace according to the Wiki and the video cpw has made, and did many changes to Forge and added many other things. I have tested it and it went well. Eventually, I wanted to build it. I tried running gradlew build. It says BUILD SUCCESSFUL, when I go to build/distributions I find the forge installer. Assuming this is the one that contains the changes I made, I ran it and when I launched Minecraft with it I found no changes at all made to Minecraft. Just asking, is there another way that I'm supposed to build Forge with?
