  1. First post here. A recurring issue with Forge servers for me, regardless of my mods, client or server, is that I can never get the universal jar to launch. I have used the installer for version 1.12.2 2808 and followed all the customary procedures. If I just double click the jar, it opens fine, but using the command file I cannot seem to get it to work. I have also tried to run without any mods in the mods folder but with the same result every time. I desire to use start.command so I can run Forge with JVM arguments in order to allocate more RAM. The error appearing is as follows: A problem occurred running the Server launcher.java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:62) at java.base/jdk.internal.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:43) at java.base/java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:564) at net.minecraftforge.fml.relauncher.ServerLaunchWrapper.run(ServerLaunchWrapper.java:70) at net.minecraftforge.fml.relauncher.ServerLaunchWrapper.main(ServerLaunchWrapper.java:34) Caused by: java.lang.ClassCastException: java.base/jdk.internal.loader.ClassLoaders$AppClassLoader cannot be cast to java.base/java.net.URLClassLoader at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.<init>(Launch.java:34) at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.main(Launch.java:28) ... 6 more (I am sorry, I can't figure out how to use spoilers) I have read the EAQs and the response to this problem (the cannot be cast problem) is that I ought to be running Java 8. I am running Update 201 Java 8 for Mac OS 10.13.6 and have updated, restarted, and tried all this today as well as in the past. I have even gone as far as to use iTerm. Any help? Logs are attached. They probably contain too much information from the successful, non-start.command file runs but I hope what I have attached is helpful. Let me know please if any other information is required. Thanks so much. latest.log debug.log
