  1. So, success! I got Forge installed. Thank you so much for your help. However, if you could answer my other question here, that'd be even better. Even with Forge 1.13.2 now installed, Optifine 1.13.2 still won't work. I understand not every version works; would this be the case here?
  2. So I put in the string and I got back: C:\Users\xxx>java -jar forge-1.13.2-25.0.192-installer.jar Error: Unable to access jarfile forge-1.13.2-25.0.192-installer.jar What's going wrong here? Tried with Optifine as well since it's a .jar file and got the same response.
  3. Just thought I'd make sure I'm understanding what you're saying here. Is "JarNameIncludingExtension" the name of the file? I've downloaded the newest version of Forge, which is forge-1.13.2-25.0.192. Would "JarNameIncludingExtension" be forge-1.13.2-25.0.192-installer.jar, since that's the full name of the file? Are the curly brackets supposed to be there? Sorry if this is really simple, I'm not very good with this kind of stuff.
  4. Hello. I'm having a lot of trouble installing Forge 1.13.2. Since there's no Windows Installer, I have no choice but to use the regular installer, which is a .jar file. Now, for some reason, my computer has an extremely hard time running .jar files. They don't work whatsoever, no matter what I do. I have no problems downloading the installer, however it doesn't load properly. All that appears is a blank command prompt (I'm running Windows 10) which flashes on the screen for maybe half a second before disappearing again. No error boxes pop up or anything, just a blank command prompt. This really sucks for me because I can't get any 1.13+ versions of Optifine to work. I'm using Forge so that Optifine installs properly because of this thing my computer does. Is there anything I can do about this?
  5. It simply says 'The system cannot find the file specified.' I looked up how to run a .jar file and it didn't work at all.
  6. Well, I've downloaded the installer for 1.13.2 and it's a .jar file, but I can't open it for some reason. I've downloaded the newest version of Forge 1.13.2 a few times and it never opens. I just can't get the .jar files open. Every time I click on the icon the command prompt pops up (I'm running Windows 10) for a brief moment before going away, and nothing happens. Why does it do this? My previous computer had no problems opening .jar files.
  7. I ran the recommended version of 1.8.9 three times, and this is what I got.
  8. Are you saying that if I delete my current version of Forge, I should be able to install a different version with no problems?
  9. Currently, I'm running Forge 1.12.2 (with Optifine) and it works great! However, I want to be able to use another version of Forge along with the version I currently have installed. The reason I installed Forge in the first place was because I couldn't load Optifine by itself for some reason, and I still don't understand why. Anyway, is it possible to have two versions of Forge installed at the same time? I've already tried doing this with multiple versions, but to no avail; Forge crashes everytime. When I go back and look in the launch options, those versions of Forge are still there, even though I've deleted the files off of my computer. If there's no way to have two versions installed at the same time, is the any way to guarantee that the other version of Forge will work properly if I can rid of the version I already have installed? Thanks!
