  1. Hello. I'm getting back into Minecraft a little bit after like 6 years and was setting up a server for my wife and I and some of our friends. We started with a vanilla server but we wanted to add some QoL mods so I figured I'd check out what Forge has nowadays. I've grabbed the 1.12.2 Windows Installer and pointed it to an empty folder on my server's desktop. My first attempt seemed to go pretty well but some mods (like VeinMiner) weren't working on the server. My hypothesis is that the client side mods were working, but the server ones were not, nor could I find a config file in the server folder for me to change anything. The missing config file tipped me off that something wasn't right. I set up a new test folder and reran the forge windows installer and pointed it to my test folder. So, I'll list the next steps here in the correct order: 1. Ran the minecraft jar 2. Changed the Eula to true 3. Reran the minecraft jar and generated final files 4. Updated the server file with the IP address 5. Ran the Forge Jar - doesn't do anything (doesn't open server, doesn't generate mods or config folder - nothing) I tried right clicking and running with Java SE and JDK but doesn't work I've stripped my server of all minecraft files (besides the vanilla server that I have backed up), removed Java using Java's removal tool, and reinstalled Java and rebooted. Still, can't get it to work. I've done all these steps several times and tried different versions (1.13, 1.13.2, etc.). Is there something else I'm missing? It seemed to work the first time I set it up originally, but the config folder was never set up.
