  1. Update: there were no further errors and this solved my issue; the game now launches.
  2. aha thanks, something as big as that will probably be the issue, but If I have any more should I post here or start a new thread?
  3. Ah ok, here we go https://gist.github.com/Blockmutant/21437e929a7807a1beac713ce706ab2e 42k lines Oh, and I should mention that I removed my name from the file paths in the log, they would usually be /home/name/.minecraft
  4. I don't thing it got far enough to generate a debug log, and I know it sounds dumb but when I paste the launcher log my browser crashes due to the size, is there anything I can exclude from it?
  5. Right, so. I had a mod idea and decided this may be a nice way to boost my knowledge of java; step one install forge. I ran the official and latest 1.12.2 installer from files.minecraftforge.net, and it completed the installation. I now have a forge 1.12.2 version and inside the version folder is a .json file. However, when I attempt to launch the game, I get the "unexpected issue occurred" error and it stops instantly. At no point does a game window open. My latest log file is completely empty aside from this: [16:49:35] [Client thread/INFO]: Setting user: #manually removed username# [16:49:36] [Client thread/INFO]: LWJGL Version: 2.9.4 [16:49:37] [Client thread/INFO]: Reloading ResourceManager: Default [16:49:37] [Sound Library Loader/INFO]: Starting up SoundSystem... [17:02:14] [Client thread/WARN]: Author: Paul Lamb, www.paulscode.com As far as I can tell there is no error, other than "Stopping!", which is of course is why I came here. I am using Linux mint 19.1 Tessa and the official game/launcher. Sorry if I have posted this wrong, I'm not used to forum interfaces.
