I fixed the issue by downloading jarfix to fix the files and I think it'll work now so thank you

But when I try to open the jar files it tries to open with internet explorer but soon after it closes out.

What do you mean by jar version?

So I need to be able to download Forge through Windows, or it will not work. For .12 there's an option to download it for windows which I was able to do, however, none of the other installment options work, (trust me, I tried for hours.). I was wondering if there was going to be a windows installment option for 1.14 sometime? I really want to add mods to my game but I cannot do that without it. Thanks.
