    Forge To Launcher Issues

    I have been playing Minecraft and installing mods for quite awhile, and I recently got back into it and want to redownload mods into the version of 1.12.2. When i download forge, i complete the process, click install client, and let it run, but when I open Minecraft there is not a 1.12.2 forge launch option. I have tried this multiple times with multiple versions of minecraft, all the way back to 1.17.10, and am still getting no results. Thank you!
