    Forge appears to install but it doesn't appear in the launcher or versions folder

    Hi, I have installed Forge once for my daughter (1.12.2) and it works fine, however some of the mods that she wants to use doesn't. So I have tried to install a different version of Forge (1.7.10) and it downloads fine, I click on install, it goes through the motions as it should with no issues, but it does not appear in the launcher. I checked the versions folder of the .Minecraft file and it is not there either. The 1.12.2 version is there but not 1.7.10. I am a bit of a noob, so I must be doing something wrong and to be honest, I am sure I did a few more things than just press install when I did the 1.12.2 version. Please help, my daughter wont give me any peace until I can sort this for her. Thanks
