    Is this frontpage Forge website a scam?

    I was Googling for both Forge and Optifine and I noticed these frontpage websites for both of them. They appeared as ads and weren't authentic as far as I can tell.

    When I downloaded it by accident it installed 3 apps which were surprisingly legit and owed by Microsoft, Google, and such, but I deleted them.

    Search "Minecraft Forge" or "Optifine" And the "ad" fist one should be the fake one.

    So what is this? Like some sort of malware scam?

    Sorry for the late reply the day after I wrote the post I went driving to Nebraska from Colorado. Visiting family.

    Just got time to get set up again.

     

    And I am aware some of the mods are not for the correct version. but I don't care too much tbh.
