    How can I view the launcher log? When forge fails to load, there is an option that says "View Crash Report", however when I click that nothing happens.

    Oh, the only reason I thought there was supposed to be a .jar file was because there's a .jar file in every MC version, even the other forge ones. There are also no logs, if the ones in the "logs" folder are what your talking about.

    Forge 1.12.2 not launching

    Hi, I'm having a problem downloading Forge 1.12.2. When I download it (using the .jar and the .exe), it always says successfully installed. However, when I look in the "versions" folder of the .minecraft directory, the .jar file for forge 1.12.2 isnt there. Minecraft is now unable to launch forge 1.12.2. Every time I try, I get an error saying the game crashed without it even opening (presumably because of the missing .jar file). Forge works on the other versions I've used (1.13, 1.14.2, 1.14.3).
