    Cant install a old version of Forge

    hi, I'm trying to install forge for 1.12.2 but when I select it in the launcher it doesn't launch. when i install forge the installer says it was successful. I think the problem is that there is no .jar in the forge 1.12 folder in the version folder. just opening this to see if anyone has seen this before and if they know a fix. PS: I'm new to Minecraft modding so sorry if it's a simple fix
