    yes thanks! i can run forge now and the game opens. it did open in 1.12 though do i need to get a different download to get 1.14 or do i mess with setting to do so?

    i googled the forge install and used https://files.minecraftforge.net/ to do so. im also using the standard minecraft launcher

    i was trying to download forge. it didn't work, it would always crash on open. i then tried to google a solution and it said to try and delete forges files then re-intstall. the orignal "installation" wouldn't disappear on the launcher and the new installations didn't show up because of it. help
