All right, I think it worked. I have a furnace icon next to (1.14.4-forge-28.0.45) under the play button for my Minecraft launcher. Now I just have to figure out how to install mods

It comes up with this anvil and three options to extract, server, and something else with a box that has a file directory in it and mentions “roaming” as well as has a button with an ellipsis next to the file directory box

At the moment the icon is an internet explorer icon, and it won't let me open with a file showing a java icon

For some reason all of my uploads are failing and I've tried .png and .jpeg. But I got it from this link https://www.java.com/en/download/

Hey guys, I just have a hopefully simple issue to solve with beginning the installation process. Whenever I try to download the installer, it downloads with internet explorer. I have installed JAVA onto my computer, but when I hover over the "open with" option for the installer file, JAVA is not an option. It has not changed after everything I have tried, and admittedly I am not great with computers so I could not think of much to do, but all I am asking for is some help. Please.
