    Forge 1.12.2-14.23.5.2768 not uninstalling.

    I don't know what is happening with my computer, but one mod needed a newer version of Forge, so, I download that version, or a version above, then delete my old Forge version (%appdata%>.minecraft>versions>Forge1.12.2-14.23.5.2768>Delete) and then installed the newer version. When it was done (I checked and saw that it WAS in the versions folder), I opened up Minecraft to see the older version that I previously downloaded, and no newer version in sight. I tried EVERYTHING, I deleted the Minecraft launcher then re-installed it, I turned off my computer (fully) and nothing, I re-got the old Forge, opened it in Minecraft, then deleted it, nothing. I tried more things then I could remember. Could anyone help?
