    When I gave them the ip and port, it showed another server on 1.14.3 and it was creepy. So the ip worked it was just a different world and version. It makes no sense since I could join and it worked fine

    I created a modded 1.12.2 server and put in some mods and joined the server to see it worked. then, I gave my ipv4 to a friend so they could join and it didn't work. I tried my local ipv4 then realized I needed my public so I found that. still didn't work. then I tried adding :25565 and it STILL didn't work. I could join this whole time. please help. any weird settings and stuff I need to change for this to work?
