  1. sorry for the wait, i was away from a computer. But here is a screenshot of the terminal, there is no error message at all, just the window that pops up (see above).

I found a thread where someone got this same error when trying to open the universal file, this is not me, I opened the "Installer" file, just like everyone says. But yet, I still get that message. I was originally trying to install 1.8.9, but that didn't work either. Ive tried recommended, latest, almost all the versions, but that message keeps popping up Ive watched many youtube videos and read threads but none of them have this problem, they double click the installer, and it works. This is not my case and I am out of ideas. please help.
