    I couldnt get it to launch the game, it just sits and does nothing after I hit play, even on vanilla. Couldnt find the log on the new launcher, and it's much harder to use in general.

    I installed forge 1.14.4 using the installer. It seemed to install fine, except it is not showing up in my launcher. I've tried reïnstalling forge 1.14.4 but that didn't work. I also have forge 1.12.2 installed, but it works perfectly fine, even after attempting to install forge 1.14.4.
