    I actually figured it out, try using the very first version of forge for 1.4.7 . i tried it and it worked like a charm

    I'm having the same problem, except i didn't even have the luxury of having a crash the client just froze and i had to ctrl+alt+delete it. Is there an issue of compatibility with optifine? because I have tried EVERYTHING to make it work...ugh headache...
